Highlights

  • Orthocell secures initial revenue from Remplir™ following regulatory clearance in the US

  • First surgical procedures performed in Ohio and Florida via ambulatory surgery centres

  • Company advances logistics and commercial scaling with support from Uniphar

Orthocell Ltd (ASX:OCC) has made commercial inroads into the United States with its regenerative medicine product Remplir™, generating its first sales revenue post-approval. The advancement marks a significant expansion for the company within the biotechnology sector and contributes to its growing international footprint across regulated healthcare markets. Orthocell is a constituent of the All Ordinaries index.

Initial surgical procedures using the Remplir™ device were completed at healthcare centres in Ohio and Florida, following the company’s earlier regulatory clearance in the US. These initial deployments have allowed the company to trial its fulfilment systems and facilitate direct training for US-based surgeons.

Remplir™ Begins US Commercial Journey in Ambulatory Centres

The first application of Remplir™ in a US surgical setting took place in late June. The procedures were conducted in ambulatory day surgery centres, offering Orthocell an early-stage commercial entry point. This platform not only introduced the Remplir™ technology to US clinical environments but also allowed the company to replicate a proven rollout model previously executed in Australia.

By focusing on familiarisation through smaller-scale procedures, Orthocell is adopting a phased market access strategy to support future growth. The model is designed to support gradual integration across the surgical network, backed by specialist distributors.

Strategic Execution Underpins Revenue Conversion

The company’s ability to convert regulatory approval into sales revenue within a short timeframe is tied to its broader operational strategy. This includes new appointments across sales, marketing, and medical affairs, along with manufacturing scale-up activities in Australia.

Orthocell’s logistics partnership with Uniphar is enabling effective distribution and invoice handling, ensuring readiness for broader rollout across healthcare systems in the US. The execution of its commercial infrastructure has laid the groundwork for subsequent growth phases in the second half of the year.

Remplir™ Targets Nerve Repair with Global Scalability

Remplir™, Orthocell’s collagen-based nerve repair wrap, is designed to support tissue regeneration and functional recovery following peripheral nerve injury. Backed by clinical evidence, the product is positioned to address a growing segment of the global nerve repair market, where procedural volumes continue to expand.
