The submission follows a successful regulatory study that met all key benchmarks, confirming Remplir™ as a safe and effective option for surgical peripheral nerve repair. This development marks a major milestone for Orthocell, as it seeks to introduce its innovative product to the largest healthcare market globally.

The FDA submission reflects Orthocell’s comprehensive preparation, bolstered by pre-submission meetings and strong regulatory data. The pivotal study highlighted Remplir’s capabilities, showcasing outcomes comparable to existing FDA-cleared devices. With endorsements from surgeons in regions where the product is already approved, including Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, Orthocell aims to leverage its proven track record in advanced nerve repair technology.

Orthocell’s leadership is optimistic about the future. CEO Paul Anderson emphasized the significance of this step, noting the company’s readiness to drive Remplir’s success in the US market. Supported by a robust financial standing, with A$33 million in cash reserves as of November 2024, Orthocell is poised for significant growth and market penetration.

The US nerve repair market represents a significant opportunity for Orthocell, given its estimated value of more than US$1.6 billion annually. Orthocell (OCC) is set to capitalize on this growing demand with its innovative solutions, aiming to redefine the field of nerve repair with the launch of Remplir™. The company’s strategic focus on innovation, regulatory compliance, and market readiness positions it as a leader in delivering advanced healthcare solutions.
