  • Orthocell (ASX:OCC) ventures into Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with Striate+.
  • Significant revenue potential eyed with a targeted market share in a billion-dollar industry.
  • Positive feedback and high success rates propel demand for innovative dental product.

Orthocell (ASX:OCC), an innovator in regenerative medical solutions, has announced its first sales of the Striate+ dental membrane in new European territories, namely Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This milestone is part of the company’s strategic expansion efforts in collaboration with its exclusive global distribution partner, BioHorizons Implant Systems, a leading player in the dental implant industry.

BioHorizons' subsidiary, BioHorizons Camlog, spearheaded the marketing and distribution efforts for Striate+ across the European Union and UK. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance Orthocell’s revenue streams by targeting a substantial 20% share of the addressable market, which is valued at over $1 billion.

Currently, Striate+ is approved for use in several major markets including the US, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, the UK, and Canada, with BioHorizons managing its distribution exclusively. The product has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from dental professionals, largely due to its high success rate of 98.6% in post-market clinical studies. These factors have contributed to robust sales growth in existing markets.

Striate+ stands out in the competitive landscape of dental surgery products due to its user-friendly design, adaptability to various treatment surfaces, and its effectiveness in promoting efficient bone growth. These unique features are largely attributed to Orthocell’s innovative SMRT manufacturing process, which is conducted in Australia. This method preserves the natural structure of collagen without the need for crosslinking or chemical modifications, thereby ensuring optimal tissue integration.

Looking forward, Orthocell is not slowing down its expansion efforts. The company has recently been greenlit by Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority to commence sales in the region and expects to receive regulatory approval in Brazil within the next three months.

Striate+ is a sterile, resorbable collagen membrane designed for dental bone and tissue regeneration, including dental implant procedures. It is specifically engineered to protect bone defects from unwanted tissue ingrowth while fostering an environment conducive to new bone formation. This ensures the reliable development of high-quality bone structures following surgical interventions.

With these strategic moves, Orthocell (OCC) is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for advanced dental regeneration products worldwide, enhancing its footprint in the global healthcare market.
