Atomo Diagnostics Limited (ASX:AT1) has announced a significant new supply agreement with its long-time distribution partner Newfoundland Diagnostics. The new deal is valued at AU$5.44 million over five years, effective immediately, and runs through to 30 June 2030.

Agreement Details

The exclusive distribution rights for Atomo’s tests in the UK are granted to Newfoundland, while they will hold non-exclusive distribution rights in the EU and Colombia. This follows an upfront order of 50,000 tests, which will be manufactured by Atomo during the current quarter.

Newfoundland has already been distributing Atomo’s HIV Self-Test in the UK and parts of Europe, with success seen in major UK retailers like Boots Pharmacies and Tesco Supermarkets. The expansion into Eastern Europe and Colombia is a key part of the growth strategy under this agreement, especially given the increasing demand for HIV testing in these regions.

Strategic Impact

This long-term agreement solidifies Atomo’s presence in the growing global market for self-testing and supports the company’s international expansion

Following the announcement, Atomo’s share price surged by more than 55% to 1.9 cents per share as of 14 January 2025.
