Lithium Australia (ASX:LIT) reinforces team with new appointments - Kalkine Media

Lithium Australia Limited (ASX:LIT) has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Ms Catherine Grant-Edwards and Ms Melissa Chapman as Joint Company Secretary, effective from 24 June 2022.  

LIT is committed to the ethical development of a circular battery economy in Australia. The Company is engaged in battery recycling and development of next-gen lithium-ion batteries for e-mobility and energy storage applications.

A snapshot of new additions

Ms Catherine Grant-Edwards and Ms Melissa Chapman are Directors of Bellatrix Corporate Pty Ltd, which is engaged in providing secretarial services to several ASX-listed companies.

LIT has confirmed that Ms Edwards and Ms Chapman will now be overseeing all communications between the company and the Australian Securities Exchange from 24 June 2022, for the purpose of ASX Listing Rule 12.6.

Lithium Australia - a major player in the battery space

Lithium Australia operates through its two wholly owned subsidiaries, Envirostream and VSPC.

Envirostream is Australia’s only onshore mixed battery recycling company with state-of-the-art battery processing facilities in Victoria. The company has battery recycling partnerships with Bunnings, Officeworks, and other leading brands in the country.

VSPC is engaged in the development of leading-edge materials for e-mobility and energy storage applications. The company is advancing a definitive feasibility study for an initial 10,000 tpa lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) manufacturing facility. LFP demand accounts for over 50% of the global market for lithium-ion battery materials.

LIT shares were trading at AU$0.059 midday on 24 June 2022 with a market cap of AU$64.19 million.
