Brazil, an agricultural powerhouse, is the third-largest agricultural producer in the world. The southernmost state of Rio Grande do Sul hosts one of the country’s richest agricultural assets. However, the continuous cultivation has caused exhaustion of soil nutrients in the state, resulting into a soaring demand for phosphate fertilisers.
In the current scenario, Aguia Resources Limited (ASX:AGR) continues to forge ahead with the testing of its branded natural phosphate fertiliser products, Pampafos® and Lavrato®, from the Três Estradas Phosphate (TEPP) project.
The agronomic testing of Pampafos® in a variety of commercial crops has delivered impressive results, boosting the company’s confidence in the competitive performance of the product.

Excellent productivity levels returned for rice crop
In early September 2021, AGR shared positive results from the application of its branded phosphate products, Pampafos® and Lavrato®, to rice crops. The testing returned excellent productivity levels. These were highly significant outcomes as tests were carried out on a large farming property in Rio Grande do Sul.

AGR believes that the productivity level returned for the rice crop suggested the high potential for the application of Pampafos® and Lavrato® in rice fields. Moreover, the results indicated the efficiency of these fertilisers to potentially replace conventional and chemically processed phosphate fertilisers.

Very positive results from agronomic tests on oat crops
In December 2021, AGR received highly positive results from agronomic tests on oat crops using Pampafos® and Lavrato®. Oat productivity results using Pampafos® returned 92% of the productivity achieved using conventional Triple Superphosphate (TSP) in the same dosage.

The results indicated a high potential for using Pampafos® and Lavrato® in oat fields and positioned Pampafos® and Lavrato® as highly efficient natural phosphate sources.
AGR has signed an MOU with fertiliser distributor, Tuch, for the future supply of Pampafos® to the RS State market. The results had greater significance as they came from the company’s first test conducted in partnership with Tuch.

Excellent results from agronomic tests on wheat crops
Early this year, AGR received further excellent results from agronomic tests on wheat crops using Pampafos®.
In previous testing, the results received came close to that of chemical fertilisers, however, this set of productivity results indicated that the productivity of all treatments with Pampafos® surpassed that of chemical fertilisers.

Impressive results from agronomic tests on corn
Most recently, AGR received excellent results from agronomic tests on corn crops using Pampafos®. The results reinforce that the Pampafos® product continues to highlight agronomic efficiency across all major commercial crops.
