Biotechnology and health

Skin Elements emphasises that there is a growing inclination in favour of sustainable consumption, with the worldwide adoption of technologies like renewable energy and electric vehicles serving as clear evidence. There is also growing evidence on the adverse effects on human body due to aggressive use of toxic chemicals and ingredients.

The ASX-listed company states it is at the forefront of the ongoing biotechnology revolution with the development of its “high performance” proprietary SE Formula™ technology, which is plant based and replaces toxic chemicals used in the skincare industry.

SKN has invested a considerable sum of AU$36 million in the research & development of the technology and development of its several applications. The company is working with a global network of partners including laboratories, regulators, and other stakeholders.

SE Formula™ technology and applications

The technology is based on Naturopathic principles, with SKN having used organic and natural ingredients.

The research & development has occurred over three phases -- first, an investigation into ingredients and processes for the preparation of prototype formulations; second, the production of test batches and product trials supported by regulatory certifications; and third, the scaling up of the technology and commercialisation.
