Lithium Universe Limited (ASX: LU7) has appointed John Sobolewski as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. Sobolewski carries extensive experience in the lithium industry, making him another valuable addition to the “LU7 Dream Team”.
Sobolewski will join the company as its CFO on 1 February 2024.
Rich experience of Sobolewski
During his tenure at Galaxy Resources, he played a significant role in the feasibility, funding, construction, and operation phases of the Mt Cattlin Spodumene mine and the Jiangsu Lithium Carbonate refinery. He also played a pivotal role in setting up finance systems and teams in Australia and globally.
Financial and debt modelling experience of Sobolewski will assist LU7 in finalising DFS of the Lithium Carbonate Refinery and Québec Lithium Processing Hub Concentrator projects.
He is a chartered accountant and has a graduation degree from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Previously, he was associated with Mintrex as Managing Director and CEO. He was the CFO and Company Secretary at Vital Metals Limited, Galaxy Resources Limited and Mintrex. He catered to the roles of financial controller and company secretary at Croesus Mining NL. Also, he was in the roles of Group Accountant and Company Secretary at Titan Resources NL.
