Jindalee Lithium Limited (ASX: JLL) has appointed Wayne Zekulich as Non-Executive Chair of the company, effective from 1 February 2024.
The latest development is aimed at strengthening the board for the company’s growth phase towards McDermitt pre-feasibility study delivery.
McDermitt, the company’s flagship project, is one of the largest lithium deposits in North America.
Rick experience of Zekulich
Zekulich is an accomplished company director and finance executive who held several chief financial officer and non-executive director roles. Presently, he is associated with ASX-listed firm Pantoro as its Chairman and is a board member of Western Australian treasury Corporation.
He has a Bachelor of Business Degree. Moreover, he is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
On his appointment, Mr Zekulich said:
Justin Mannolini, the current non-executive chair of the company, believes that the appointment of Zekulich as the new Chair and Ian Rodger as the new CEO would add significant expertise and experience to JLL. This would help McDermitt Lithium Project to transition effectively from exploration to development project.
Mannolini, who has been serving as a Jindalee director since September 2013, would retire from the Board upon Zekulich’s appointment.
JLL shares trade higher
JLL shares traded over 19% higher at AU$1.00 apiece at the time of writing on 27 December 2023.
