Jindalee Lithium Limited (ASX: JLL) has shared an update on progress made at its US-based McDermitt project. McDermitt is one of the largest lithium deposits in the United States, with lithium carbonate equivalent of 21.5 Mt.
A pre-feasibility study (PFS) of the McDermitt project is progressing well within budget and on time. It is expected to continue through until mid-2024, depending upon factors such as timing of metallurgical test results, site investigations and approvals.
Jindalee has hit a significant milestone concerning its Exploration Plan of Operations (EPO) application for the project. The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process is expected to start on 10 January 2024.
The company is in discussions with the state and federal US government agencies for opportunities to advance the project, such as securing funds and technical cooperation between agencies.
JLL shares trade higher
JLL shares jumped by 15.34% to trade at AU$0.94 apiece at the time of writing on 19 December 2023.
