Ark Mines Limited (ASX: AHK) is ramping up drilling at its Sandy Mitchell Rare Earth and Heavy Mineral Project, North Queensland. Backed on the initial encouraging assays, the company has procured and commissioned a second drill rig - a mounted Aircore Reverse Circulation (RC) rig at the project site.
The second rig has the capacity to drill up to 200m daily and can drill depths of nearly 24m. This represents a significant increase from average depths of around 10.5m in the phase 1 drill program, where all assayed sample returned rare earth elements. To know details, click here.
The second rig complements the company’s augur drill rig.
