Altech Batteries Limited (ASX: ATC, FRA:A3Y) recently released the preliminary battery specifications for its CERENERGY® 60 KWh (ABS60) and 1 MWh (ABS1000) GridPack battery products.

These preliminary specifications have been developed by Altech in association with Fraunhofer IKTS, a JV (joint venture) partner of ATC, to meet the growing demand in the renewable energy and grid storage market. The features developed would serve as a key breakthrough, enabling the company to initiate talks with potential off-take partners and capture future sales in the extensive grid storage battery market.

The intermittent nature of renewable power generation and the rise in demand for renewable energy sources has brought forth the acute requirement for reliable solutions for energy storage. Consequently, there has been ascending application of grid storage batteries as they allow maintaining the supply and demand levels of energy, boosting the deployment of renewable energy sources and warranting stable power delivery.
