- Aguia Resources has announced highly encouraging results of agronomic tests using its natural fertiliser Pampafos® from its phosphate project.
- All agronomical tests were performed in the southernmost Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul.
- Test results demonstrate spreading of P2O5 through Pampafos® fertiliser on native pastures led to better forage grass production levels of 41% vs. the Control group where no fertiliser was used.
Aguia Resources Limited (ASX:AGR) has released results of agronomic tests using natural fertiliser Pampafos® from its Brazilian phosphate project.
The mining company operating in the State of Rio Grande do Sul or ‘RS’, the southernmost State of Brazil, has two well-developed projects: A Phosphate Project, which is aimed at producing organic phosphate fertiliser, and a Copper Project, targeting the production of cathode copper.
It is for the first time that Aguia tested Pampafos on native pastures. The company has its Pampafos marketing centred around cropping, which counts fertilisers as an essential product for production.
In RS, the use of available chemical fertilisers by cattle growers is rare, owing to their high prices. However, the exceptional test results on native pastures may open up a potentially huge new market for the company’s phosphate project with a competitively priced product.

The data collected over a period of one year of agronomical testing and research with native pasture in the state was consolidated for the results. Furthermore, the company plans to continue to hold the testing program and the yield results will be released from time to time.
Excellent results from agronomic tests on native pasture fields
Aguia conducted agronomic tests using Pampafos® fertiliser on native pasture on a commercial farm at Dom Pedrito – RS. No chemical fertilisers have ever been used on this land.

The tests carried out on cattle properties included three different agronomic treatments. Each treatment was settled in a 1-hectare area, and the phosphate sources, Pampafos and Triple Superphosphate (TSP), were spread on the soil surface. In addition to the P source, each 1-hectare treatment was subdivided into three minor areas with the application of different dosages of nitrogen (N).

Aguia has performed a number of agronomic tests on Pampafos® since late 2019 under the supervision of Integrar Gestão e Inovação Agropecuária, an independent agronomic consulting firm based in RS.
With initial focus on the growers near the location of the phosphate project, the agronomic trials have now extended to different parts of the state. This includes several areas of high productivity with subsequent higher demand for phosphate.
AGR shares were trading at AU$0.064 midday on 10 November 2022.
