Unico Silver reports highest silver intercept to date at Marta Norte
Phase three drilling confirms robust near-surface mineralisation
Updated Cerro Leon resource estimates expected in Q3 2025
Unico Silver Ltd (ASX:USL), a precious metals explorer listed on the All Ordinaries, has announced its most significant silver intercept to date at the Cerro Leon Project in Argentina. The latest drill results from the Marta Norte prospect highlight the growing scale and grade profile of the project, which spans several high-grade prospects within a well-established mining region.
Strong Results from Marta Norte and Karina Prospects
Phase three drilling at Marta Norte returned record silver-equivalent values, marking a key milestone in Unico Silver’s exploration progress at Cerro Leon. The results demonstrate consistent mineralisation over a broad interval near the surface. Alongside these returns, drilling at the Karina prospect also revealed notable high-grade zones at depth, contributing to a diversified mineral profile across the broader project area.
The infill and extension drilling targeted oxide and sulphide zones, with intercepts encountered at shallow and deeper levels. This work is part of a larger strategy to improve geological confidence and support project modelling efforts.
Progress Toward Project Development Milestones
Unico Silver has confirmed that the phase three campaign covered seven key prospects, with a focus on delineating both near-surface and deeper extensions of mineralisation. The Marta Norte area is currently being assessed as part of a development scenario focused on early-stage production, while deeper targets at Karina, Savary, and Kasia are under evaluation for long-term resource growth.
Management has outlined the program’s contribution to corporate milestones, including broader development scenarios designed to guide staged project advancement. These include planning for resource thresholds aligned with short and medium-term objectives, incorporating data from current and future drilling results.
Updated Resource Estimates on Track for Delivery
The Cerro Leon Project, which holds a multi-million-ounce silver-equivalent resource estimate, remains a cornerstone of Unico Silver’s development strategy in Argentina. Updated resource figures for Cerro Leon and the adjacent Joaquin Project are scheduled for release in the third quarter of the year.
The drilling results from Marta Norte, combined with new data from other prospects, are expected to support refinements to the geological model and resource classification. These updates will play a role in guiding project design and future development pathways across the region.
Strategic Exploration in a Prolific Mining Jurisdiction
The Cerro Leon Project is located in an established silver belt known for its historical production and geological continuity. The ongoing exploration activities are being executed with a focus on both near-term resource definition and long-term mineral discovery.
Through systematic drilling, geological analysis, and planned updates, Unico Silver continues to progress its high-grade silver exploration initiatives. The company remains active across multiple fronts, advancing its asset base in one of South America's most productive silver jurisdictions.
