Highlights:

  • Scorpion Minerals preparing to commence RC drilling at Pharos and Jungar Flats.

  • Exploration to focus on high-grade mineralized zones along the Dalgaranga-Big Bell shear corridor.

  • Initial assay results expected to be available shortly after drilling begins.

Scorpion Minerals (ASX:SCN) is advancing its exploration efforts within the Murchison region of Western Australia. A Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling program is scheduled to commence at the Pharos project and the recently acquired Jungar Flats joint venture. These areas have demonstrated mineralized zones, prompting further assessment of gold occurrences within the region.

Jungar Flats is adjacent to the Pharos landholding, both positioned along the northern extent of the Dalgaranga-Big Bell shear corridor. This structural zone is known for hosting significant mineral deposits and is located northwest of Cue. Through a binding farm-in and joint venture agreement, Scorpion Minerals has secured a majority interest in this area, establishing itself as one of the dominant landholders within the corridor.

Strengthening Regional Presence

Following the agreement, Scorpion Minerals now maintains extensive tenure stretching from Dalgaranga to Big Bell. The company’s ground position encompasses a substantial landholding within a geologically favorable corridor. Gold remains the primary exploration focus, with assessments also being conducted for additional mineral prospects, including copper and lithium.

The planned RC drilling campaign will assess multiple high-grade mineralized zones across Pharos and Jungar Flats. The continuous tenure across this corridor offers an opportunity to investigate structural features favorable for mineral deposition, with drilling activities spanning key target areas.

Exploration Strategy and Resource Development

Market conditions are influencing exploration strategies across the region. Gold prices have reached record levels, prompting increased activity in the Murchison district. Recent mergers involving key mining companies reflect the growing importance of this mineralized corridor. With an extensive landholding along the Dalgaranga-Big Bell shear zone, Scorpion Minerals is positioned to evaluate and advance exploration programs across several high-priority areas.

Beyond its drilling initiatives, the company continues to assess regional development opportunities. Further exploration activities will focus on refining geological models and conducting systematic geochemical surveys to enhance understanding of mineralization patterns.

Advancing Jungar Flats Exploration

Previous work at Jungar Flats identified gold mineralization at multiple locations, including the Middle Bore prospect. Historical drill results indicate shallow and deeper mineralized zones, supporting further assessment through the planned RC drilling campaign. Additional targets at the Lantern and Cap Lamp prospects have shown promising mineralized intersections, reinforcing the need for continued exploration.

Geological mapping and geochemistry surveys will be conducted alongside the drilling program to provide a comprehensive understanding of the mineralized structures. The integration of these datasets will guide future exploration plans and resource definition efforts within the project area.

By executing this exploration program, Scorpion Minerals aims to expand its geological knowledge of the region while further assessing high-grade mineralized zones within its extensive landholding.
