The United States Natural Gas Injection Reaches Near Record High in October Injection Period

The United States natural gas injection activities reach near-record high, with stored natural gas for the year reaching 3,724 billion cubic feet at the end of October 2019 from the level of 1,155 billion cubic feet at the beginning of April 2019.

  • The natural gas inventories stood 37 billion cubic feet higher at the end of October 2019 against the previous five-year end-of-October average.
  • The working natural gas storage stood at 1,155 billion cubic feet at the end of the previous heating season (as on 31 March 2019), which marked the 2nd-lowest level for that time of year since 2004.
