SKC Adelaide Casino Reopening and Equity Raising Update

SkyCity Entertainment Group Limited (ASX: SKC) expects to fully reopen its gaming, entertainment and hospitality facilities in Adelaide on 29 June 2020 amid 3 stage approach to reopen the economy, being followed in South Australia. The reopening plan includes:

  • Casino access limited to active members initially
  • Capacity subject to maximum patronage of one person per two square metres at any given time
  • Adherence to strict physical distancing measures
  • Infrastructure established to support contact tracing, primarily through surveillance, guest registers, identity scanning and use of loyalty cards

Skycity also announced settlement of NZ$180 million institutional placements on NZX as well as ASX on 24 June 2020, following allotment and commencement of trading of new shares. As part of the equity raising, SKC’s NZ$50 million Share purchase plan opened on 22 June 2020 and the closing date for the offer is 3 July 2020.
