Microsoft’s revenue surges 21% in Q4, Apple’s Q3 revenue up 36%

Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq:MSFT) on Tuesday reported revenue of US$46.2 billion in Q4, 2021, up 21 percent YoY, while Apple Inc. (AAPL) posted a revenue growth of 36 percent YoY to US$81.41 billion.

Both MSFT and AAPL stocks were trading lower than the previous close on Tuesday. MSFT was priced at US$278.29, down 0.87 percent, while AAPL was trading at US$146.77, a decline of 1.49 percent.

Microsoft’s earnings per share for the quarter was US$2.17, an increase of 49 percent YoY. Operating income soared by 42 percent to US$19.1 billion, and net income was up 47 percent to US$16.5 billion.

The company also released its yearly earnings for 2021. The revenue rose by 18 percent to US$168.1 billion. Operating income went up by 32 percent to US$69.9 billion, and net income increased by 38 percent to US$61.3 billion.

The EPS rose to US$8.05, up by 40 percent.

reported revenue of US$81.41 billion, up by 36 percent YoY. Gross margin of the company for the quarter was US$43.3 percent. EPS was US$1.30.

Apple declared a cash dividend of US$0.22 per share to its shareholders. Its operating income for the period was US$24.1 billion and net income was US$21.7 billion.

The market capitalization of the mobile company is US$2.5 trillion. The stock value of the multinational rose by 10.46 percent YTD.

The P/E ratio of AAPL is 32.85 and the forward P/E one year is 28.71. The EPS and annual dividend of Nasdaq-100 company are US$4.46 and US$0.88. The current yield is 0.59 percent, and the beta is 1.21.
