 Result Highlights From 3 FTSE Listed Companies – Arrow Global Group Plc, Symphony International Holdings Limited and Cineworld Group Plc

The FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 indices, like the other several major global share indices have been reeling in red since the last over 2 weeks. There has been a consistent sense of pessimism since the mid-February, primarily due to the coronavirus outbreak. This has had a huge impact on most of the shares listed on these indices. While there are some shares which have performed well too, that is because of the demands of their products witnessing a rise in the time of panic, due to certain usability of them in these scenarios. There are lots of companies that have performed well during this period, highlighting earnings and results better than what was expected by the market. Below is a closer look at the results of three companies which announced results on 12th March 2020.

Arrow Global Group Plc

Arrow Global Group Plc (LON:ARW) is a financial services and lending company based out of the UK that is engaged in the provision of the credit line and other financial services.

ARW Financial Highlights

In terms of its financial results that were declared on 12th March 2020, the company reported that its core cash collection for the year ended 31st December 2019 increased by around 7.5 per cent year on year to £442.30 million. The company also reported a 2.9 per cent year on year increase in the third -party AMS Income for the period which was reported to be at £94.40 million. The underlying profit before tax for the period was reported to be at £78.10 million, a decline of 5.2 per cent year on year. The basic Earnings Per Share was reported to be at GBX 20.00 for the period, an increase of 17.6 per cent year on year.

ARW Share Price Performance

As on 13th March 2020, at 09:45 A.M (GMT), at the time of writing this report, the Arrow Global Group Plc share was hovering at a price of GBX 153.20 on the LSE (London Stock Exchange) market, weaker by 2.36 per cent or GBX 3.70, in comparison with the price of the share on the previous trading day, which had been reported to be at GBX 156.90. As of the time of reporting, the share of Arrow Global Group Plc was reported to have been trading 7.96 per cent above the 52-week low share price, that was GBX 141.90, the company set this price on March 12, 2020. The company declared its financial results for the period ended 31st December 2019 on 12th March 2020, in which the company announced other operating income of US $784,000, while a loss before investment results and income tax of US $14.21 million. The profit before and after income tax was reported to be at a value of US $28.91 million, while both the basic and diluted earnings per share were reported to be at US Cents 5.63. As on 31st December 2019, the total liabilities of the company stood at US $73.43 million while the total assets as on the same day were reported to be at US $577,07 million.

SIHL Share Price Performance

As on 13th March 2020, at 09:50 A.M (Greenwich Mean Time), while writing this report, the Symphony International Holdings Limited Share was trading at a price of USD 0.38 on the London Stock Exchange market, no change in the price of the share, as compared to the price the previous trading day. As of the time of reporting, the share of Symphony International Holdings Limited was reported to have been trading 5.00 per cent above the 52-week low share price, that was USD 0.40, and the company set this price on March 12, 2020. Cineworld Group Plc (LON:CINE) is a Travel and Leisure company that is engaged in the business of media and entertainment and is headquartered in Brentford, the United Kingdom.

CINE Financial Highlights

In the preliminary results for the year ended 31st December 2019 that the company declared on 12th March 2020, it primarily displayed a comparison between FY 2019 IAS 17 results and the FY 2018 Pro Forma results. It was reported that the Revenue declined by approximately 6.2 per cent and was reported at US $4369.70 million, while the Adjusted EBITDA declined by around 3.7 per cent and was reported at US $1032.60 million (IAS 17). The Profit before tax for the period was reported at a value of US $432.60 million and the profit after tax for the period was reported to be at US $348.10 million. The Diluted Earnings per share, for the year ended 31st December 2019 was reported at US Cents 25.90 for FY 2019.

CINE Share Price Performance

As on 13th March 2020, at 09:55 A.M (GMT), at the time of writing this report, the Cineworld Group Plc share was hovering at a price of GBX 51.63 on the LSE (London Stock Exchange) market, weaker by 22.94 per cent or GBX 15.37, in comparison with the price of the share on the previous trading day, which had been reported to be at GBX 67.00. As of the time of reporting, the share of Cineworld Group Plc was reported to have been trading 14.86 per cent above the 52-week low share price, that was GBX 44.95, the company set this price on March 12, 2020. While writing, the share of the company had been trading 83.02 per cent lower than the 52-week high price of GBX 303.99, that the company achieved as on May 08, 2019. As of the time of reporting, the market capitalisation of Cineworld Group Plc has been reported to be at a value of GBP 919.21 million, with respect to the current trading price of the company’s share.

The Cineworld Group Plc share had given a negative return of around 98.02 per cent in value, in the previous one year, since March 12, 2019, when the share was trading at a price of GBX 2613.00 at the time of the close of the market.

The beta of the share of the company was reported to be at 1.70 when this report was being written. This points to the fact that the share price movement of the company’s share, is more sensitive, in comparison with the movement in the price of the comparative benchmark index.
