The loss before tax decreased to £214.5 million for the 52 weeks ended 1st December 2019 as compared to the loss of £44.4 million for the 52 weeks ended 2nd December 2018. The loss for the period decreased to £211.8 million for the 52 weeks ended 1st December 2019 as compared to the loss of £44.9 million for the 52 weeks ended 2nd December 2018.

OCDO - Stock Price Performance

The basic and diluted profit per share increased to 2.7 pence in the six-month ended 31st December 2019 as compared to the loss of 1.5 pence in the six-month ended 31st December 2018.

As expected, the high-margin licensing business of the company performed well during the financial year 2020 with key licensing income surging to historic levels, up by 13.9 per cent to £3.5 million as compared to £3.1 million for the financial year 2019, in a sign of robust performance from blinds, bedding and Japanese licensees.

The reported licence income is likely to be around £5.5 million in the financial year 2020 as compared with £6.5 million in the fiscal year 2019.

The third-party production sales revenue was higher by 5.5 per cent at £21.1 million in the financial year 2020 as compared to the £20.0 million in the fiscal year 2019. The Digital fabric printing surged by 12.3 per cent, which showed demand from both and Walker Greenbank’s own brands and third-party customers.
