Water conservation is an important part of Sysco’s Sustainable Agriculture Program which covers Sysco Brand canned and frozen fruit and vegetables. As part of this program, growers and suppliers work to reduce the impact of farming on surface and groundwater.

To reduce waste, growers reuse wastewater for irrigation and processors recycle water in their manufacturing facilities. During the 2022 growing season, they conserved over 200 million gallons of water. This is one example of the water actions we are taking to protect food for generations to come.
