Farm Powered Strategic Alliance

The Farm Powered Strategic Alliance, a pre-competitive group of leading national brands focused on advancing sustainability, recently held its annual member meeting in Colorado. Among other great activities such as a farm tour, a hike, and a farm-to-table dinner, a highlight of the event was a sustainability workshop, hosted by Etienne White. The workshop fostered innovative and collaborative thinking with emerging themes such as, “Be Fearless and Fail Forward,” allowing our members to help build strategies for their own internal sustainability progress.

The Alliance, founded in 2020 by Vanguard Renewables, Unilever, Starbucks, and Dairy Farmers of America, aims to boost food waste reduction and recycling, expand renewable energy production across America, and support generational farms and regenerative agriculture practices. Members of the Alliance gathered to share sustainability best practices and build personal connections through this annual meeting, collaborating on ideas and solutions to mitigate climate change.

In addition to its founding members, the Alliance includes AstraZeneca, BevPros DHL, Cabot Creamery, Chobani, Danone, FoodTank, Foremost Farms USA, Great Lakes Cheese, Johnsonville, Kikkoman, Polar, Schreiber, Smithfield Foods, Stonyfield Organic, and Vermont Creamery.
