Tech giant Apple is all set to take the wraps off a bunch of new products including iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, new entry-level AirPods, and new MacBook Pro at its much-awaited fall event. Generally, Apple follows a tradition of unveiling its iPhones in September, except for the COVID-19 pandemic-hit last year.

According to the latest report by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple may launch the iPhone 13 in its first event of the season in September. Gurman said that Apple is in “full preparation mode for another jampacked holiday season of device launches.”

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman said that the company may launch Apple Watches, AirPods‌, iPads and possible updates to some of the company’s services in the expected second event. The final event would feature Apple’s MacBook Pros.

Apple launches: What all to expect

iPhone 13 series

Led by CEO Timothy Cook, Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone 13 series in four sizes (5.4-inch and 6.1-inch standard models and 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Pro models) just as the iPhone 12 series. Based on the leaks so far, the phone design would be similar, according to Gunman’s report. However, iPhone 13 could have a smaller notch. In addition, the cameras may be repositioned.

The new iPhone would have a new AI-driven filter system along with better camera and video recording features. The new devices may have Apple’s 120Hz ProMotion tech. The phones are expected to feature faster A15 chip. However, the processor may have similar number of cores as the A14 chip.

Apple Watch Series 7

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman claims that the new Apple Watch may have minor design upgrades, such as flat display and updated screen technology. The new device is also expected to have a faster processor. Like Time to Walk mode on Apple Fitness+, the new watch may have Time to Run feature and Audio Meditations.

AirPods 3

The new entry-level AirPods may have similarities to AirPods Pro in terms of design. According to rumours, the latest upgrade to the device would be the most significant one in the previous couple of years.

iPad Mini 6 and 2021 MacBook Pro

The rumoured iPad mini 6 may see a major design overhaul. The major changes may include slimmer bezels and more visual changes. The device may have Smart Connector, similar to that in iPad Air and iPad Pro. Gurman said that the new iPad mini is “destined to be an Apple fan favorite with its thinner borders and complete redesign.”

On the other hand, MacBook Pro would have all-new 14-inch and 16-inch screen sizes. The machine may feature Apple's M1X chip.  It may also feature flatter top and bottom cases and mini-LED displays.

The Bottom Line

While nothing is clear about the exact launch dates, more details will come out as we approach closer to the fall. Based on the rumours so far, the iPhone 13 event is expected in mid-September, while the company may launch its computers and tablets in October.
