TOKYO, Dec. 7, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Nippon Express (China) Co., Ltd. (hereafter "NX China"), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., attended the "2023 China International Freight Forwarder Logistics Industry High Quality Development Forum and China International Freight Forwarder Logistics Industry Development Blue Book Press Conference" held in Tianjin on November 16, 2023. In the 2022 fiscal year rankings of China forwarders announced at the event, NX China came in 15th overall and 1st among Japanese companies.

The China International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFA) is an international forwarding business group with about 600 member companies in mainland China, Hong Kong, and other countries and regions. This press conference, jointly organized by CIFA and the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce, brought together more than 400 companies and about 800 participants from 22 countries and regions.

The forum featured keynote speeches by experts from the logistics industry on further improving the efficiency of trade and digitalizing international logistics, and Jin Peng, General Manager of NX China's Healthcare Branch, spoke as a guest on the NX Group's development and pharmaceutical logistics.

The 2022 China International Forwarder Rankings* were also announced, and NX China placed 15th overall (11th for air freight, 30th for ocean freight, 13th for trucking, and 3rd for warehousing) and was the top Japanese company on the list.

The NX Group will be helping develop its customers' business activities by further enhancing its logistics functions in China in addition to providing international transport utilizing its global network in order to realize its long-term vision of becoming a logistics company with a strong presence in the global market.

*This ranking of international forwarder companies in China, including foreign-owned companies, is based on performance data compiled by China's Ministry of Commerce for the 2022 fiscal year.
