Bitcoin Climbs Above US$50,000
Bitcoin has climbed above US$50,000 for the first time in two weeks, taking a sharp spike in the early hours of Friday morning.
Bitcoin was priced at just above US$50,600 this morning – a jump of over US$2,000 from its price yesterday.
The jump above US$50,000 comes after a tough period for the world’s number one crypto, which has sunk below US$50,000 several times in the past month after recording a record high in November.
Crypto Market Performs Well
Ethereum, the second largest crypto by market cap, also experienced a spike this morning, jumping above the US$4,000 mark.
The wider crypto market has also performed well in the past 24 hours with all the top ten cryptos in the green.
The biggest climbers in the top ten over the past day were Cardano, which jumped nearly eleven percent and Terra, which also jumped eleven percent.

Memecoin, Shiba Inu has been listed on one of Australia’s longest running exchanges crypto exchanges, CoinJar.
The SHIB Token was listed on CoinJar this week along with six other tokens, including Fetch.ai, Origin Protocol, Cartesi, Orchid, Quant Network, and Audius.
Shiba Inu is one of the top tokens in the crypto space, ranked thirteen in the largest cryptos by market cap according to CoinMarketCap.
Shiba Inu was inspired by Dogecoin – another memecoin based on the Japanese dog breed Shiba Inu.
