Equities market investors are looking for the stock of Michigan-based battery startup Our Next Energy, Inc. (ONE) after it said that its new battery enabled a Tesla Model S to run for 752 miles on a single charge.

Mujeeb Ijaz, the chief executive officer and founder of Our Next Energy, has said that the company plans to start producing battery packs capable of giving a similar range to electric vehicles.

Mr Ijaz said that it aims to build batteries in North America and that they can be produced economically.

Can you buy Our Next Energy (ONE) stock?

Unfortunately, you cannot buy Our Next Energy stock as it is not a publicly traded company. Potential investors are searching for the battery maker's stock. However, it is not available as the company remains private.

Gemini 001 is an experimental battery, and the company is looking to produce more such batteries after the successful trial. Notably, the battery has an energy density of 416 Watt-hours per litre.

ONE aims to create batteries that give a mileage superior to the best of current electric vehicles. At the moment, the top model of Lucid Air offers a range of 500 miles.

A Markets and Markets report suggests that the global market for electric vehicles is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 26.8 per cent between 2021 to 2030.

As the world is committed to fighting climate change, electric vehicles are expected to become mainstream in the next few years.
