Toronto-Dominion Asset Management Inc (TDAM), one of the largest Canadian money and asset manager, recently released projected 2020 reinvested distributions for Toronto Dominion (TD) Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs). The entity managed C$ 396 billion in assets as of September 30, 2020. These annual distributions generally signify realized capital profits within the TD ETFs.

We are going to explore top three TD ETFs: TD U.S. Equity Index ETF (TSX:TPU), TD Active Global Enhanced Dividend ETF CAD (TSX:TGED), and TD Active Global Income ETF (TSX:TGFI) and some newly-launched TD ETF portfolios.

 

TD US Equity Index ETF (TSX:TPU)

 

Units of TD US Equity Index fund have swelled by nearly 14 per cent in the last six months. The fund has regained almost 47 per cent since the COVID-19 pandemic caused crash on March 24. In its year-to-date performance, the ETF has surged by over 15 per cent.

Its current market capitalization stands at C$ 926 million.

As per data on the TMX Money website, this fund’s price-to-book (P/B) ratio is 3.51, and the price-to-cash flow (P/CF) ratio is 14.60. The fund delivers a positive return on equity (ROE) and a positive return on assets (ROA) of 26.17 per cent and 8.93 per cent, respectively. Its current price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is 23.10.

The ETF holds a current dividend yield of 0.809 per cent. It pays a quarterly dividend of C$0.085 per share, as per the data available on TMX.

TD US Equity Index fund is currently trading at C$ 26.84 per unit.

 

TD Active Global Enhanced Dividend ETF CAD (TSX:TGED)

 

Units of TD Active Global Enhanced Dividend fund have soared by over 14 per cent in the last six months. The fund has rebounded over 42 per cent since the COVID-19 pandemic caused crash on March 24. In its year-to-date performance, the ETF has increased by nearly 10 per cent.

The ETF’s current market capitalization stands at C$ 60.97 million.

As per data on the TMX Money portal, the fund’s price-to-book (P/B) ratio is 5.15, and the price-to-cash flow (P/CF) ratio is 18.40. It offers a positive return on equity (ROE) and a positive return on assets (ROA) of 27.17 per cent and 10.20 per cent, respectively. Its current price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is 26.80.

The ETF holds a current dividend yield of 3.731 per cent. It pays a monthly dividend of C$0.055 per share, as per the data available on TMX.

TD Active Global Enhanced Dividend fund is currently trading at C$ 17.42 per unit.

TD Active Global Income ETF (TSX:TGFI)

 

TD Active Global Income has gained nearly 6 per cent in the last six months. The TD fund has regained over 20 per cent since the COVID-19 pandemic caused crash on March 25. In its year-to-date performance, the ETF has been trading almost flat.

This TD fund has a current dividend yield of 3.134 per cent. It pays a monthly dividend of C$0.065 per share, as per the data available on TMX.

TD Active Global fund is currently trading at C$ 24.89 per unit.

 

Newly Launched TD ETF Portfolios

TD claims this fund is apt for potentially retired or soon-to-be retirees, investors with less scope for risk and prefer less appetite for returns.

 

TD One-Click Moderate ETF Portfolio

 

This fund is created to earn a long-term capital gain while offering the opportunity to generate some income. It has a target investment blend of 60 per cent equities and 40 per cent fixed income.

This ETF portfolio is apt for investors who are willing to take a moderate level of risk and investors who are not ready to invest large amounts in risky assets, said TD in an official statement.

 

TD One-Click Aggressive ETF Portfolio

 

This fund is established to earn long-term capital benefits, with the added potential for earning a reasonable level of income. To accomplish this, the target investment will mainly be 90 per cent equities and 10 per cent bonds.

This portfolio is viable for investors who have an appetite for a longer investment horizon and are comfortable with more volatile returns, says TD.
