Highlights
- dorsaVi gains exclusive global rights to RRAM tech from NTU Singapore
- Strategic focus on enhancing sensor longevity and performance
- Capital raised to fund integration and support business expansion
dorsaVi (ASX:DVL), a specialist in FDA-cleared movement-sensor systems, has entered a landmark agreement by securing the exclusive global licence for a suite of resistive random-access memory (RRAM) technologies developed by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. This strategic move is set to revolutionize dorsaVi's product capabilities and market reach, especially across healthcare, AI, and industrial wearables.
Strategic Technology Acquisition
The agreement grants dorsaVi access to nine patent families associated with advanced RRAM innovations. These technologies are recognized for their superior speed, energy efficiency, and scalability compared to traditional memory systems. When integrated into dorsaVi’s wearable sensor platforms, RRAM is expected to significantly boost device performance while extending battery life—crucial for applications that demand long-term, real-time monitoring.
The memory enhancements will power improvements across dorsaVi’s existing product lines used in elite sports performance, clinical rehabilitation, and workplace safety monitoring. This development aligns with the company’s broader objective of embedding more intelligence into wearable devices, while keeping power consumption minimal for extended usability.
Funding for Integration and Growth
To support the integration of this technology and further business development, dorsaVi has secured firm commitments of AUD$2.4 million through a capital raise involving existing and new investors. Approximately 187.5 million shares are to be issued at a discounted rate, spread across two tranches. The second tranche is subject to shareholder approval.
This funding is aimed at accelerating the RRAM rollout, supporting working capital requirements, and positioning dorsaVi for strategic expansion. The fresh capital also reflects investor confidence in the company’s technological direction and market opportunity.
A Leap Toward Smart Wearable Evolution
According to dorsaVi’s leadership, this licensing milestone is more than a technical upgrade—it sets the foundation for a new generation of smart, low-power sensing platforms. With exclusive global rights to cutting-edge memory innovation, the company is set to redefine its position within the rapidly evolving wearable tech industry.
Looking ahead, the integration of RRAM technology is expected to bolster dorsaVi’s role in high-growth sectors such as elite sports analytics, physical therapy, and industrial automation, contributing to long-term business sustainability and technological leadership.
