ArchTIS Ltd (ASX:AR9), a leader in cybersecurity solutions, has announced the appointment of Dr Marcus Thompson AM, PhD, as a non-executive director. Dr Thompson’s extensive expertise in cybersecurity, coupled with over three decades of distinguished service in the Australian Army, makes him a key addition to the company’s leadership team.
Dr Thompson’s career spans 34 years, during which he served in high-profile positions within the Australian Army. A retired Major General, he holds a PhD in cybersecurity from the University of New South Wales, along with qualifications in electrical engineering, business, defense studies, and strategic studies. His leadership roles included commanding the 3rd Combat Signal Regiment, serving as a senior advisor on defense policy and operations within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and leading as the inaugural head of Information Warfare for the Australian Defence Force.

In addition to his new role with archTIS, Dr Thompson holds non-executive director positions at Penten, Bank Australia, and Data Action.
