Highlights

  • Yandal Resources (YRL) confirms gold mineralisation continuity at Siona discovery.
  • RC drilling reveals high-grade gold intercepts and visible gold presence.
  • Exploration plans set for 2025 to expand and refine mineralisation targets.

Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has reported significant gold mineralisation at the Siona discovery within the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee (IWB) Gold Project in Western Australia. Recent reverse circulation (RC) drilling has showcased a 300-metre strike zone of mineralisation, marking an essential step in the company’s exploration efforts.

Notable results from the RC drilling program include an impressive 17 metres at 4.9 g/t gold from 85 metres, which also contained 1 metre at 61.9 g/t and 6 metres at 12.8 g/t. Additionally, the discovery of visible gold in RC chips highlights the potential for high-grade zones within the system, adding to the excitement around the project.

Key Drilling Results and Updates

Further noteworthy drilling results include 23 metres at 1.3 g/t gold from 102 metres, with a core interval of 15 metres at 1.6 g/t from 105 metres, and another intercept of 43 metres at 0.4 g/t gold from 93 metres.

Yandal Resources confirmed mineralisation continuity along a 300-metre strike zone, with evidence pointing towards high-grade gold pockets in this orogenic gold system. The company’s managing director expressed optimism about the early-stage results and the structural and geochemical targets set for further exploration.

Exploration Roadmap for 2025

Drilling activities are set to resume in early 2025, with a focus on structural targets and regolith anomalies along the eastern margin of the New England Granite contact. This exploration aims to uncover the broader mineralisation potential across this target area.

Yandal Resources is also advancing geochemical studies and geophysical surveys, including ground gravity and passive seismic exploration, to better understand the characteristics and distribution of gold mineralisation at Siona.

Upcoming Activities

The company has outlined an active schedule for late 2024 and early 2025:

- Additional RC drilling results from Siona are expected in the coming weeks.

- Aircore drilling outcomes from the Caladan and Irulan areas are due within a month.

- Diamond drilling at Siona is planned to start in January 2025.

- RC drilling at the New England Granite area is set to recommence in January 2025.

These developments underline Yandal Resources’ commitment to unlocking the mineralisation potential within the IWB Gold Project, paving the way for further discoveries in the region.
