Highlights:

  • Gold Recovery Performance: Torque Metals has reported outstanding gold recoveries exceeding 96% at two of its deposits, Paris and HHH, with a third deposit, Observation, showing a recovery rate of 90.9%.
  • Gravity and Leaching Success: Significant gold recovery from gravity concentration methods, with Paris, HHH, and Observation achieving 57.6%, 68.8%, and 51.8% recovery, respectively.
  • Low Cyanide-Soluble Copper Levels: The minimal presence of cyanide-soluble copper species ensures that gold recovery through conventional leaching will not face significant challenges.

Torque Metals Ltd (ASX:TOR) has announced impressive gold recovery results from its Paris Gold Project in Western Australia. The project’s deposits have demonstrated substantial recoveries, providing an optimistic outlook for future development.

At the Paris, HHH, and Observation deposits, Torque achieved gold recoveries of 96.1%, 96.5%, and 90.9%, respectively, showcasing the strong potential of these assets. The recovery was achieved through conventional leaching and gravity concentration techniques, demonstrating the ores’ free-milling mineralogy.

The Paris and HHH deposits, in particular, yielded remarkable results, with a significant proportion of the gold (57.6% from Paris and 68.8% from HHH) being recoverable through gravity methods alone. These high gravity recovery rates emphasize the quality of the deposits and suggest efficient processing options.

Additionally, the analysis revealed that cyanide-soluble copper levels were low across the three deposits, reducing the likelihood of any significant impact on gold recovery through conventional cyanide leaching processes. This finding further supports the favorable economic outlook for the project, as low cyanide-soluble copper content generally leads to smoother and more cost-effective processing.

Torque’s managing director, Christian Moreno, highlighted the potential for successful ore exploitation, noting that the high recovery rates underscore the promising nature of the deposits. The strong recoveries from both gravity and cyanide leaching methods indicate that the Paris Gold Project could offer a robust and efficient gold extraction process.

These findings mark a significant milestone for Torque Metals, potentially paving the way for the continued exploration and development of the Paris Gold Project. The high recovery rates and favorable mineralogical characteristics point to a strong foundation for the project’s future growth and success.
