- Terra Metals confirms consistent mineralization at Dante Reefs in Western Australia.
- Drilling results reveal promising grades of copper, gold, and PGMs.
- Further assays expected to expand the resource base.
Terra Metals Ltd (ASX:TM1) has unveiled compelling assay results from its Dante Reefs discovery in Western Australia, showcasing the consistency and scale of mineralization. These findings reinforce the potential for a significant deposit containing copper, gold, platinum group metals (PGMs), titanium, and vanadium, further cementing the West Musgrave region's position as a low-risk, resource-rich area.
Strong Results Highlight Scale and Continuity
Recent drilling at the Dante Reefs discovery has validated its geological similarities to South Africa’s Bushveld Complex, the largest global source of PGMs, vanadium, and chromite. Terra Metals has reported strong assay results from phase one diamond drilling and phase two reverse circulation (RC) infill drilling.
Key results include:
- Phase One Drilling: Highlights include intervals of 7.7 metres with grades of 0.27% copper, 0.67 g/t PGE3, 18.4% titanium, and 0.68% vanadium from 86 metres. Within this interval, grades peaked at 1.01 g/t PGE3 and 26.5% titanium.
- Phase Two Drilling: Notable intercepts include 5 metres grading 0.86 g/t PGE3, 0.26% copper, 19.2% titanium, and 0.78% vanadium from 12 metres, with a higher-grade zone of 1.28 g/t PGE3.
These assays confirm that Dante Reefs has the potential for a large-scale sulphide deposit. Pending results from an additional 68 drill holes, including 60 RC and eight diamond drill holes, are anticipated to further expand the resource potential.
Resemblance to Bushveld Complex
The Dante Reefs form part of the Jameson Layered Intrusion and exhibit geological characteristics akin to South Africa’s Bushveld Complex. This resemblance has heightened interest in the discovery, as it suggests vast potential for critical minerals on a global scale.
Terra Metals is advancing metallurgical test work to evaluate the processing characteristics of the ore. These studies are expected to be completed in 2025, supporting ongoing exploration to define the size and scope of the discovery.
Exploration and Forward Plans
Terra Metals remains focused on systematic exploration at Dante Reefs to validate the scale of the resource. Managing Director Thomas Line emphasized the company’s commitment to unlocking the potential of this discovery, which continues to deliver high-grade results across multiple elements.
With further drilling underway and pending assay results, Terra Metals is positioned to strengthen its resource base and reinforce the strategic significance of the West Musgrave region.
