  • Focus shifts to large-scale resource growth

Strickland Metals (ASX:STK) is making significant headway in its exploration program at the Rogozna project in Serbia. The latest drilling at the Kotlovi prospect has unveiled extensive zones of gold and base metals mineralisation, highlighting the growing importance of this area within the broader project.

Located just west of the Medenovac deposit, Kotlovi has quickly emerged as a focus point for the company’s resource expansion efforts. The ongoing campaign involves multiple rigs operating across different zones, with work continuing to identify new extensions and better define the mineralised system.

Diverse Mineralisation Zones

Gold-Dominant and Mixed Metal Targets

Recent drilling has revealed two distinct mineralisation trends. The eastern zone is rich in gold, while the western zone combines gold with notable levels of base metals. These results point towards a complex geological setting that could support substantial long-term resource growth.

Strickland’s ongoing exploration strategy at Kotlovi aims to extend mineralisation both along strike and closer to surface. With further drilling planned throughout the year, the company expects to deepen its understanding of the scale and continuity of mineralisation.

Rogozna’s Wider Exploration Push

Beyond Kotlovi, Strickland has stepped up activities across the Rogozna project. A multi-rig program is targeting both resource definition and new discovery areas. Work at Gradina is progressing towards a maiden resource, while additional prospects such as Jezerska Reka, Obradov Potok, and Shanac are also under active investigation.

The company’s work at Gradina has also confirmed strong gold recovery rates through standard flotation processes, supporting future development plans. These efforts align with a broader focus on efficiently defining high-quality resources within the region.

Strategic Focus and Funding Strength

In a recent move, Strickland finalised an agreement to divest its Yandal gold project to Gateway Mining (ASX:GML), receiving payment in convertible preference shares. This transaction allows the company to concentrate fully on advancing Rogozna while maintaining a strong funding position.

Additional capital support comes from holdings in Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST), ensuring Strickland remains well-placed to sustain its high-intensity exploration approach. For investors tracking resource opportunities, projects like Rogozna continue to demonstrate why active explorers outside the top ASX 100 can still capture significant market attention.
