Red Mountain Mining (ASX:RMX) is making significant strides in advancing its gold and antimony exploration efforts across key projects in Canada and Australia. The company has initiated an aggressive exploration strategy to unlock the potential of its assets, focusing on high-grade mineralized zones with promising early-stage results.
Fry Lake Gold Project – Ontario, Canada
Exploration at the Fry Lake Gold Project in Ontario is set to commence as soon as the Canadian field season begins post-winter. The company has identified high-grade gold targets within the Flicka zone, where previous assessments indicated strong potential. The exploration team will conduct additional surface sampling and drill testing to gain deeper insights into quartz-vein hosted gold mineralization.
In addition to the Flicka zone, two newly identified gold-in-soil anomalies within Fry Lake are being assessed. These areas present promising orogenic gold targets, which will undergo further trenching and geochemical sampling to confirm their economic viability before anticipated drill testing.
Furthermore, the company has pinpointed two copper-rich polymetallic soil anomalies within the project, which align with volcanic-hosted massive sulphide mineralization trends. These targets will be assessed through detailed ground exploration programs to evaluate their resource potential.
Armidale Antimony-Gold Project – New South Wales, Australia
At the Armidale Antimony-Gold Project in New South Wales, an extensive rock chip and soil sampling program is planned across three key areas. The company aims to collect over 1,300 samples to analyze mineralized zones that could indicate untapped potential.
In parallel, a land ownership search is underway with direct engagement efforts progressing with local landholders. Given the region's history of antimony mining, Red Mountain believes the area remains underexplored and offers considerable residual resource potential.
Kiabye Gold Project – Western Australia
Exploration efforts are also advancing at the Kiabye Gold Project in Western Australia, where a high-resolution ground magnetics survey is in progress. This work, complemented by a targeted portable x-ray fluorescence assay program, is expected to help define gold-bearing structures for further geochemical sampling.
With a strong focus on gold, lithium, rare earths, and base metals, Red Mountain continues to expand its exploration footprint in North America and Australia. The latest initiatives reinforce the company’s commitment to identifying and developing valuable mineral resources across its portfolio.
