  • Significant antimony-rich zone identified at the Stibium prospect within Nova Minerals’ Estelle Project.
  • Reconnaissance rock chip samples recorded antimony grades as high as 56.7%.
  • Project prioritised for further development, engaging with US defence agencies for potential funding.

Nova Minerals (ASX:NVA) has reported the discovery of a substantial high-grade antimony-rich zone at the Stibium prospect within its Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project in Alaska. Reconnaissance rock chip sampling has revealed impressive antimony grades, with values reaching up to 56.7%. Notably, 11 samples recorded antimony concentrations above 30%. The mineralised area spans approximately 800 by 400 metres and remains open for further exploration activities.

Antimony is recognised as a critical mineral with significant applications in defence and advanced technology sectors, including night vision systems, explosives, and nuclear weaponry. The strategic importance of this discovery is heightened by China's export restrictions on antimony. To expedite project development, Nova Minerals (NVA) is actively collaborating with the US Department of Defense and seeking grant funding through relevant programs. The company is also part of the Defense Industrial Base Consortium, fostering enhanced cooperation between government and industry stakeholders.

The Stibium prospect has been prioritised as a high-grade, drill-ready exploration target. This advancement complements the ongoing development within Nova Minerals’ Estelle Project, which also hosts the RPM gold deposit and the Korbel bulk tonnage deposit. The company has announced its focus on upcoming 2024 exploration activities, building on previous gold results that included grades of up to 12.7 g/t.

Key sampling results from the Stibium prospect include antimony grades of 56.7%, 55.7%, and 54.8%, demonstrating the high potential of this critical minerals site. In parallel with exploration efforts, Nova Minerals (NVA) has progressed significantly in its grant funding applications, aiming to further develop its resources and strengthen its position in the critical minerals market.

The discovery of high-grade antimony at the Stibium prospect marks a strategic milestone for Nova Minerals (NVA), aligning with its broader goals to expand its critical minerals portfolio while meeting growing global demand for these essential resources.
