Highlights
- Maiden MRE for Redlings Project: The Inferred Mineral Resource is reported at 11 Mt @ 1,130 ppm TREO, containing 12,430 tonnes of rare-earth oxides (REO). Of this, 2,316 tonnes are magnetic rare-earth oxides (MREO) at a grade of 211 ppm.
- Expansion Potential Identified: Auger geochemistry and wide-spaced infill drilling present opportunities to connect high-grade REE intercepts and significantly expand the current resource base.
- Exploration Target Declared: A global exploration target has been set at 204–306 Mt @ 950–1,130 ppm TREO, with a potential 194,000–346,000 tonnes of contained REO, including a magnetic REO target of 35,700–64,600 tonnes at 175–211 ppm.
Marquee Resources Limited (ASX:MQR) has unveiled the maiden Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Redlings Rare-Earth Element Project, marking a significant milestone in the project’s development. The estimate confirms extensive rare-earth element (REE) mineralization across five previously targeted prospects within the core of the Redlings tenure (tenement E 37/1311).
Maiden Resource Estimate Details
The maiden MRE positions Redlings as a promising REE project with substantial contained REO. The resource highlights the significant presence of magnetic rare-earth oxides such as neodymium (Nd), praseodymium (Pr), and dysprosium (Dy), which are critical for modern technologies like electric vehicles and renewable energy systems.
The resource estimate is reported using a conservative cut-off grade of 800 ppm TREO, ensuring the identified mineralization supports robust project economics.
Pathway to Expansion
The Company has identified significant potential to expand the mineralized envelope through further drilling. Wide-spaced infill drilling between the five prospects may link the high-grade REE intercepts found on the periphery of the current resource, unlocking additional tonnage and grade potential.
Additionally, auger geochemistry data has highlighted the high prospectivity of the broader exploration target area. This data supports the potential to significantly enhance the tonnage and grade of the high-grade REE mineralization beyond the existing MRE.
Global Exploration Target
Marquee Resources has also declared a global exploration target for Redlings, ranging from 204 Mt to 306 Mt @ 950–1,130 ppm TREO, containing 194,000–346,000 tonnes of REO. Within this, the magnetic REO exploration target is estimated at 35,700–64,600 tonnes at 175–211 ppm, reflecting the potential for long-term, high-value resource development.
Market Response
The announcement has bolstered market confidence, with MQR shares surging 16.7% to 1.4 cents as of January 22, 2025. Investors are optimistic about the growth prospects of Redlings and its potential to become a key supplier of rare-earth elements, crucial in the transition to clean energy and advanced technologies.
