Highlights
- Aircore drilling at the Odienné project identifies multiple gold mineralized structures for further exploration.
- Zone C showcases significant mineralization over a 3.8km corridor, remaining open both along strike and at depth.
- Extensive drilling scheduled for Ferké project in early 2025, with diamond drilling results pending.
Recent exploration activities at Many Peaks Minerals' Odienné gold project in Côte d’Ivoire have marked notable progress in identifying substantial gold mineralization structures that promise to expand the project’s potential. The reconnaissance aircore drilling has specifically revealed promising targets warranting further exploration, primarily focusing on Zone C.
Drilling Insights at Zone C
A strategic 3.8km structural corridor along Zone C's southwest margin has come into focus due to significant gold anomalism. This zone revealed a continuity of gold presence across four reconnaissance drill lines, each spaced between 1.1km to 1.3km apart. Noteworthy drill results include assays like 3m at 0.94g/t gold, 3m at 3.42g/t gold, and 3m at 0.58g/t gold, which indicate a rewarding gold presence linked to heavily foliated diorite with oxidized quartz-carbonate veining.
Expansion of Mineralization Structure
The completed drill program, encompassing 240 holes and totaling 8,089 meters by December 2024, has successfully expanded the gold-bearing structure in Zone A from an 800m to over a 2km stretch. This structure lies within a 3.5km corridor, rife with gold anomalism that remains open in all directions, promising further exploration potential.
Advancements at Zone B
Meanwhile, exploration at Zone B has revealed deeper mineralization, exhibiting signs of folding and potential fold closures. This structural context is favorable for targeting mineralization, owing to typical trap site formations that can enhance gold concentrations. The identified anomalous gold trends align with other significant regional gold projects, offering intriguing exploration synergies.
Ferké Project Developments
In parallel, Many Peaks Minerals is advancing its Ferké gold project. A six-hole diamond drilling program was completed in January, targeting the Ouarigue South prospect. This effort was aimed at elucidating structural controls on mineralization initially outlined by aircore drilling. Preparations are underway for an extensive aircore and reverse circulation drilling campaign in March 2025, intending to explore multiple undrilled targets within the project site.
The comprehensive exploration methodologies employed at Odienné and Ferké project sites are setting the stage for further defining and expanding the mineralization potential of Many Peaks Minerals (ASX:MPK). With the groundwork laid by aircore and diamond drilling, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on promising geological insights moving forward.
