  • Kookaburra Project featured in 2025 Australian Critical Minerals Prospectus
  • Recognised for strategic location and development-ready status
  • Supports clean energy shift with battery-grade graphite potential

The Kookaburra Graphite Project, owned by Lincoln Minerals (ASX:LML), has once again earned a place in Australia’s official Critical Minerals Prospectus for 2025. This national listing, compiled by Austrade, showcases the country’s most strategically significant critical minerals projects to global investors and industry stakeholders.

Inclusion in the prospectus reflects a project’s potential to contribute meaningfully to supply chains essential for technologies such as batteries, renewable energy, and electric vehicles. The Kookaburra Project has now been featured three times, highlighting its ongoing progression and increasing relevance in the global critical minerals landscape.

Located on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, the project holds a JORC-compliant resource of 12.8 million tonnes at 7.6% total graphitic carbon. Its high-grade graphite resource is suitable for use in battery anodes, placing it firmly within the value chain supporting decarbonisation and electrification trends.

What sets Kookaburra apart is its advanced development status. The project already holds a mining lease and has completed a Prefeasibility Study, key milestones that position it closer to production than many peers. In addition, it benefits from proximity to existing infrastructure, an advantage that can significantly streamline logistics and development timelines.

Lincoln Minerals (LML) continues to explore pathways to progress the project, including potential offtake agreements, funding avenues, and downstream processing opportunities. By focusing on value-added graphite, the company aims to meet growing demand from battery and industrial sectors, which are increasingly prioritising secure and ethical supply sources.

Recognition in the Critical Minerals Prospectus signals strong national and international interest. The document is used by global partners to identify investment-ready projects that align with clean energy goals, and Kookaburra’s presence reinforces its importance in this space.

As the push for cleaner energy and electric mobility gains momentum worldwide, projects like Kookaburra are stepping into the spotlight. With the demand for high-quality graphite rising, especially in energy storage applications, its strategic potential continues to grow.

Lincoln Minerals (LML) is positioning the Kookaburra Project not just as a resource asset, but as a future contributor to global sustainability and supply chain resilience.
