Highlights
- Strong gold grades confirmed at Kamperman within Feysville Project
- Regional exploration identifies new anomalies for follow-up
- Major drilling continues across Mandilla and Spargoville tenures
Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) has reported a significant step forward in its gold exploration efforts, revealing high-grade assay results from recent drilling at the Kamperman Deposit, part of its Feysville Gold Project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
The company recently completed 17 in-fill reverse circulation (RC) holes at Kamperman, confirming consistent zones of strong mineralisation. Notable intercepts include 9 metres at 5.01g/t gold from 127m, with an impressive 1 metre at 23.8g/t from 129m; another intercept returned 4 metres at 12.2g/t gold from 119m, including 1 metre at 44.3g/t. These results provide compelling evidence that mineralisation is closely associated with sheared ultramafic and porphyry rock contacts — a key structural feature guiding Astral’s future drilling plans.
Beyond Kamperman, Astral continues its broader regional work across the Feysville Gold Project. A 313-hole air-core (AC) drilling campaign was recently completed across several key targets such as Empire Rose, Central Feysville Anticline, and Southern Feysville. Early signs of gold anomalism have emerged, especially at the Central Feysville Anticline, which is believed to offer a potential mineralised strike length exceeding 300 metres.
These exploration updates come at a time when interest in gold-focused explorers within the S&P/ASX200 index is gaining traction. While Astral Resources is not yet a component of the index, its consistent exploration momentum underscores the broader investor interest in resource plays amidst commodity market shifts.
In parallel, the company is pushing ahead at its Mandilla Gold Project, located 70 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie. Drilling has just wrapped up at the Iris Deposit, with assays pending. Meanwhile, work at the Hestia deposit continues, targeting southern strike extensions through a 24-hole RC campaign. Additionally, the Spargoville tenure, acquired recently, is being evaluated via a 10,000-metre drilling initiative aimed at identifying new high-grade zones along the Spargoville Shear Corridor.
This combination of strategic drilling, geological modelling, and expansion across promising gold terrains positions Astral Resources among the dynamic explorers navigating the rich Yilgarn Craton. For investors tracking emerging opportunities within the resource space, particularly those aligned with ASX dividend stocks, the company’s developments may offer long-term potential tied to resource growth in Western Australia.
With multiple drill campaigns in motion and new targets emerging across Kamperman, Feysville, Mandilla, and Spargoville, Astral Resources continues to chart an aggressive exploration path across one of Australia’s most prospective gold regions.
