Highlights
- Deep drilling at Riverina Underground extends high-grade gold mineralisation well beyond current plans.
- Little Gem target exploration uncovers encouraging gold intercepts below surface.
- A significant additional spending package supports expanded exploration and upgraded infrastructure.
Ora Banda Mining (ASX:OBM) operates in the gold mining sector and has reported successful deep drilling results at its Riverina Underground mine. Recent drill intersections have revealed consistent high-grade gold mineralisation over an extended depth range beneath the existing mine design. Drill results include intercepts with exceptional gold content from the main lode, confirming a continuous mineralisation zone that expands the mine’s resource base significantly.
Expanding the Gold Resource
The extended mineralisation is integrated into the company’s Drive to 150 project. With resource development strategies in place, the initiative is designed to yield an increased annual gold output from the site beginning in the upcoming financial cycle. These developments reflect the company’s commitment to expanding its resource inventory within its operational domain, positioning the mine for enhanced production capacity in coming years.
Enhanced Investment in Infrastructure
A further boost to operational growth is provided by an approved additional spending package. This capital expenditure is allocated to both exploration activities and critical infrastructure upgrades. The allocation addresses the need for more robust drilling programs and improved facilities that support an expanding mining operation. Such investments are structured to reinforce operational sustainability and facilitate seamless development of the mine’s extended resources.
Regional Exploration Ventures
In addition to its primary underground operations, Ora Banda Mining has initiated exploration at the Little Gem target. Located along strike from Riverina, the target has produced notable gold intercepts from shallow, deep-lying drill holes. These early-stage exploration activities, partly supported by a state government incentive scheme, complement the core mining operations. The exploration program is aligned with regional studies that map broader gold mineralisation trends, thereby adding a new dimension to the company’s growth strategy.
