GreenX Metals Limited (ASX:GRX) is thrilled to announce that it has been chosen as one of only eight exploration companies to participate in BHP's 2025 Xplor program. The program, which was first launched in 2023, is designed to support promising minerals explorers working on projects that could play a pivotal role in the energy transition. This marks a significant milestone for GreenX as it joins an exclusive group of companies selected to accelerate their exploration efforts.
As part of the program, GreenX will receive a one-off, non-dilutive grant of up to US$500,000, which will be utilized to fund key exploration activities. In addition to the financial support, the company will benefit from in-kind services, including mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to expertise from BHP and other industry leaders. These resources are expected to help GreenX refine its technical, business, and operational capabilities, providing a valuable foundation for its future growth.
GreenX intends to use the grant funding to fast-track exploration at its Tannenberg Copper Project in Germany, a significant initiative aimed at building out the geological concepts and accelerating the overall exploration timeline. Specifically, the company plans to conduct comprehensive geophysics programs across the Tannenberg licence area, helping to uncover valuable insights that will inform future drilling and exploration strategies.
The BHP Xplor program comes with no obligations or commitments for GreenX beyond the conclusion of the program, except for certain exclusivity, pre-emption, and data sharing rights that have been outlined. This partnership with BHP is expected to provide GreenX with a wealth of resources and guidance, enabling the company to make substantial strides in the competitive and rapidly evolving exploration landscape.
GreenX's selection for the 2025 BHP Xplor program is a testament to its potential in the minerals exploration sector and reinforces the company’s commitment to advancing critical projects like the Tannenberg Copper Project.
