  • Successful completion of the Copper Hill gravity survey.
  • Discovery of significant gravity anomalies suggestive of copper-gold potential.
  • Plans outlined for future exploration enhancements.

Golden Cross Resources Ltd (ASX:GCR) recently shared the successful completion of a comprehensive gravity survey at the Copper Hill Tenement EL6391, located in the mineral-rich Central NSW region. The survey, conducted in February 2025 by Daishsat Geodetic Surveys, managed to cover 577 out of a targeted 593 stations, set at 400m intervals, offering a broad and detailed perspective of the subsurface.

The initial findings from the survey were promising, revealing three significant gravity anomalies. These anomalies suggest potential for copper-gold mineralization, which aligns well with the known geological features of the Molong Volcanic Belt—an area noted for its porphyry copper-gold deposits. This discovery marks a pivotal point for Golden Cross Resources, as it validates the potential mineral wealth of the Copper Hill region.

Mitre Geophysics conducted the preliminary analysis and interpretation of the data in March 2025. Their expertise has been crucial in deciphering the complex signals and understanding the geological implications. The anomalies identified are not only significant in scale but also in their potential to host mineral deposits, making them key targets for further exploration.

Looking ahead, Golden Cross Resources is poised to integrate these new insights with existing geochemical and geophysical data. This integrated approach aims to refine exploration targets and optimize future drilling and survey efforts. The company is considering the deployment of Induced Polarisation (IP) surveys and potentially tighter infill drilling at 100m intervals. Such steps would enhance the resolution of data around the identified anomalies, thereby improving the accuracy of target validation and increasing the chances of a successful mineral discovery.

This strategic exploration initiative not only underscores Golden Cross Resources' commitment to unlocking the potential of Copper Hill but also enhances its position within the mining sector by leveraging cutting-edge geophysical techniques and data integration strategies. The outcomes of this survey could potentially lead to significant developments in terms of resource estimation and eventual resource extraction, contributing positively to the company's growth and the regional economy.
