Fuse Minerals: Building a New Model for Mineral Discovery

The mining industry doesn't have a metals shortage. It has a discovery shortage.

Every major mining company recognises that demand for copper and other critical minerals is expected to increase significantly over coming decades.

The challenge is not demand.

The challenge is finding the next generation of economic mineral deposits.

Despite billions of dollars being spent annually on exploration, the number of major discoveries has declined dramatically over the past thirty years. Most junior explorers now focus on brownfield projects because greenfields exploration has become increasingly expensive, capital intensive and difficult to fund.

Fuse Minerals was established around a different philosophy.

The Company's objective is not simply to explore prospective ground—it is to fundamentally improve how new mineral deposits are discovered and deliver discoveries to the miners who need them.

A Different Exploration Strategy

Fuse believes the largest discoveries of the coming decades will still be made in underexplored greenfields regions.

These areas offer the greatest potential to discover tier-one deposits capable of attracting major mining companies.

However, traditional exploration methods require large budgets for drilling programs that are often simply testing a concept and building knowledge of the geology. This approach consumes significant amounts of capital while the large majority of targets ultimately prove unsuccessful.

Fuse is pursuing a strategy designed to invert this model.

Rather than drilling first and learning later, the Company is working to improve target confidence before drilling begins. With the goal to drill only what you know is mineralised.

If successful, much fewer drill holes may be required to determine whether a target warrants further investment, significantly reducing exploration costs while increasing the probability of success.

Exclusive Access to Potentially Transformational Technology

One of the most significant developments for Fuse Minerals has been securing worldwide exclusive commercial rights to MinBioteck's biological exploration technology.

The agreement provides Fuse with exclusive access to the technology and, through a subsequent Deed of Variation, an exclusive right to acquire the technology at the conclusion of the exclusivity period.

Unlike conventional exploration techniques that rely on identifying anomalous geochemistry or geophysical signatures, MinBioteck analyses the biology of the soils.

Research indicates the DNA present in soils reflects the presence, type and potentially even the approximate depth of buried mineralisation.

Importantly, the technology has already demonstrated encouraging results across a number of known ore deposits spanning different geological environments.

Fuse's objective is now to evaluate whether those results can be replicated within greenfields exploration settings where there has been little or no previous drilling.

If the technology consistently performs under these conditions, it has the potential to significantly improve exploration targeting while reducing drilling costs, exploration risk and discovery timelines.

More Than a Technology Licence

Fuse does not view MinBioteck simply as another exploration tool.

The Company believes the technology has the potential to become a strategic asset that could reshape how mineral exploration is undertaken.

Should continued validation prove successful, opportunities may extend well beyond applying the technology to Fuse's current projects.

Potential future applications could include industry partnerships, technology licensing, joint ventures and strategic collaborations with exploration companies and major mining groups seeking to improve discovery success rates.

High-Quality Projects Provide the Testing Ground

Technology alone does not create discoveries.

Fuse has assembled a portfolio of highly prospective projects where the technology can be evaluated under real exploration conditions.

Mt Sydney Project

The Company's flagship Mt Sydney Project now covers approximately 1,325 km² within the Gregory Range Inlier on the eastern margin of the Pilbara Craton in Western Australia.

The region exhibits geological characteristics favourable for both volcanic-hosted massive sulphide (VHMS) deposits and magmatic copper-nickel sulphide systems.

Exploration has identified numerous priority targets, with the first VTEM target drilled successfully intersecting previously unknown VHMS mineralisation—providing strong encouragement that the district hosts a significant mineralised system.

Numerous high-priority targets remain untested.

Eastern Isaac Project

Fuse also recently secured 100% ownership of the Eastern Isaac Project in Central Queensland.

Historical exploration has identified high-grade copper, silver and gold mineralisation at surface together with evidence of concealed intrusive systems capable of hosting large copper-gold deposits.

The project provides a second greenfields opportunity where modern exploration techniques can be combined with MinBioteck's biological targeting capability.

An Experienced Team

Fuse combines experienced geological leadership with strong corporate governance.

Managing Director Todd Axford brings more than three decades of exploration experience across Australia and internationally, supported by directors and advisers with extensive technical and commercial minerals industry backgrounds.

This combination of technical expertise and commercial experience is central to executing the Company's long-term strategy.

Looking Ahead

Fuse Minerals believes the future of mineral exploration will belong to companies capable of discovering major deposits more efficiently than traditional exploration methods allow.

Its strategy combines:

  • prospective greenfields projects;
  • experienced exploration leadership;
  • innovative biological targeting technology;
  • and a business model focused on reducing the cost, time and risk of discovery.

Success is not dependent on a single exploration target.

It depends on demonstrating that a better method of making discoveries can be applied across multiple geological environments. Those discoveries will attract the miners, delivering returns to Fuse’s investors.

Ultimately if MinBioteck continues to validate across diverse terrains, Fuse Minerals may control one of the most valuable competitive advantages available to the global mineral exploration industry.
