Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) has shared promising updates from its Wilki and Paterson farm-in projects located in the Paterson Province of Western Australia. These projects continue to uncover potential gold, copper, and multi-metal deposits, further establishing the region's exploration significance.
Wilki Farm-In Project
At the Wilki project, operated and fully funded by Newmont under a $60 million farm-in agreement, a major geochemical gold anomaly named Jezabeel has been identified. This large-scale anomaly spans 3 kilometers in length and up to 1.3 kilometers in width, situated just 4 kilometers northeast of the Telfer mine. Jezabeel follows the previously identified Parklands target and has returned peak surface lag results of 0.21 g/t gold, supplemented by historical drill data showing intersections of 4 meters at 0.13 g/t gold.
Additional anomalies, such as Zero Trend and Thomson's Dome, have been identified, marking significant exploration progress. The 2025 program, also funded by Newmont, will focus on refining these targets and seeking further discoveries akin to Havieron and Telfer deposits within the 50-kilometer radius of the Telfer mine.
Paterson Farm-In Project
The Paterson farm-in project, in collaboration with IGO (ASX:IGO), has made advancements through its maiden diamond drilling program. Assay results from 2,608 meters of drilling have revealed copper, nickel, cobalt, and gold mineralization across two primary targets, PP-GRAV01 and PP-GRAV02.
At PP-GRAV01, encouraging geological signatures were found near a gravity high anomaly. This target, close to the Anketell-Samphire Thrust, presents proximity to major deposits like Winu and Havieron. Drill intersections included 0.9 meters at 0.07% copper and 0.11 g/t gold.
Meanwhile, PP-GRAV02 demonstrated potential through intersections of disseminated and semi-massive pyrite-pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite zones, reporting values of up to 0.66% copper and 0.07% cobalt. These findings strengthen the project’s multi-metal scope.
The 2025 program at Paterson will continue to refine and explore these targets, with full funding provided by IGO.
Antipa Minerals’ (AZY) ongoing collaboration with Newmont and IGO ensures continuous exploration and development across these regions. Both the Wilki and Paterson projects highlight the Paterson Province’s role as a hub for greenfield discoveries and resource potential. The advancements in these farm-in projects are a testament to the rich mineralization of Western Australia.
