Highlights
- Survey reveals a significant copper-gold target at the Centre Forest Prospect.
- High-chargeability zone spans 1.1km by 0.3km, starting from a depth of 300m.
- Plans for diamond drilling program underway, pending approvals and rig availability.
Constellation Resources (ASX:CR1) has identified a promising copper-gold target at the Centre Forest Prospect within its fully owned Ularring Copper-Gold Project in Western Australia. The discovery follows a dipole-dipole induced polarisation (DDIP) survey, which pinpointed a high-chargeability anomaly extending 1.1km by 0.3km from a depth of 300m. The core of this anomaly, showing chargeability levels exceeding 20mV/V, remains untested by previous drilling, indicating significant exploration potential.
Survey Results Indicate Strong Potential
The DDIP survey aimed to map subsurface mineralisation and identify chargeable zones that could be linked to copper and gold deposits. The results confirmed the presence of a horizontally plunging chargeability zone surpassing 16mV/V, a key indicator of possible sulphide mineralisation. Given its size and intensity, this anomaly is considered a high-priority target for future exploration.
Upcoming Drilling Program
To further assess this newly defined target, Constellation Resources is preparing for a diamond drilling program in the coming months. The drilling plan is contingent on rig availability and regulatory approvals. An Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) application has been submitted to support the program. The first drill hole will focus on the most chargeable zones along Section A-A1, where previous drilling has not yet been conducted.
If successful, the drilling could confirm the presence of an intrusion-related copper-gold system, which aligns with historical data suggesting that Ularring holds significant mineralisation potential.
Ularring Project – A High-Potential Copper-Gold System
The Ularring Copper-Gold Project, located 100km northeast of Perth within the Archaean Yilgarn Craton, has long been recognised as a highly prospective region for intrusion-related copper-gold mineralisation. Historical exploration across the area has provided strong geological evidence supporting its potential, with Centre Forest Prospect emerging as one of the most promising targets.
Ongoing soil sampling and additional exploration efforts will further refine the project’s mineralisation model. The upcoming drilling campaign is expected to provide critical insights into the extent and grade of mineralisation within the target zone.
With a well-defined exploration strategy, Constellation Resources continues to advance the Ularring Project, positioning itself for further discoveries in Western Australia’s mineral-rich landscape.
