Highlights

  • Geophysics have confirmed the copper porphyry system at Malambo, enhancing exploration targets.
  • A comprehensive 6000m drilling program is planned for Malambo and Tambo South, starting with Malambo.
  • Both prospects are strategically located near significant copper discoveries.

Belararox (ASX:BRX) is making significant progress at its Toro-Malambo-Tambo (TMT) project in Argentina's San Juan Province, with promising geophysical results affirming the presence of a copper porphyry system at the Malambo prospect. This advancement comes as a part of the company's focused efforts to refine targets for an impending drilling program.

Geophysical Surveys Bolster Exploration Efforts

The company's determination to secure precise drill locations has led to the completion of a comprehensive drone magnetic survey and magnetisation vector inversion (MVI) modeling. These surveys have provided the necessary alignment needed to double down on chosen targets, as magnetic responses are consistent with identified porphyry systems. "MVI survey results, with magnetic responses aligning with the modelled porphyry systems, provide further support for the selected drillhole locations," remarked Arvind Misra, Managing Director of Belararox.

Strategic Planning for Extensive Drilling Program

Plans are underway to execute a thorough 6000-meter drilling program, with about 3400 meters of diamond core drilling designated for the Malambo target. This program, expected to conclude by April 2025, will initially focus on testing 3D geochemical anomalies at depth. Following Malambo, attention will shift to the Tambo South prospect, which is also considered a high-priority target with plans for 2600 meters of diamond drilling.

Proximity to Major Copper Discoveries

The strategic location of the TMT project adds considerable value, being positioned near two significant copper discoveries, Filo Del Sol and Josemaria, which are both part of the global mining leader BHP's portfolio. This proximity underscores the potential significance of the Malambo and Tambo South prospects within the global copper mining landscape.
