Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) has announced further high-grade gold discoveries from its latest diamond drilling campaign at the BDT3 prospect within the 1.59-million-ounce Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d'Ivoire. The latest findings indicate substantial gold mineralisation beyond the previously defined resource area, underscoring the potential for significant expansion.
The drilling program at BDT3 included four diamond holes covering a total of 677.6 metres. One of the standout results came from hole DSDD136, which intersected 12 metres at 22.02 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold from a depth of 145 metres. Within this, a 2-metre section recorded 35.59 g/t, and another 7-metre segment yielded 27.50 g/t, including an exceptional 1-metre intercept at 47.12 g/t.
BDT3 is a 3-kilometre-long gold prospect situated within a broader 13-kilometre by 3-kilometre mineralised corridor. Despite limited historical exploration, early results suggest substantial untapped potential. Additional assay results are pending from the remaining three diamond drill holes, with mineralisation still open along strike and at depth.
Looking ahead, Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) is gearing up for an ambitious 100,000-metre diamond drilling campaign at Boundiali in 2025. This initiative includes 40,000 metres of infill drilling to enhance resource confidence, 30,000 metres to expand known prospects, and another 30,000 metres targeting new mineralised zones. The company has deployed its own fleet of eight diamond drill rigs to execute this program efficiently.
In addition to Boundiali, Aurum is progressing exploration at its Napié project, which currently holds an 870,000-ounce mineral resource estimate. Subject to exploration license renewal, a 30,000-metre drilling program is planned for 2025, with an updated resource estimate anticipated by year-end.
With two mineral resource estimate updates and a pre-feasibility study scheduled for 2025, Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) is actively working toward unlocking further value in its Côte d'Ivoire gold assets. Supported by a strong financial position, including A$23 million in cash reserves, the company is well-positioned to advance its exploration and development strategy.
These latest results reinforce the project's long-term potential and place Aurum in a strong position for continued resource growth and development in 2025.
