The ASX listed coal miner Cokal Limited (ASX:CKA) in its latest presentation at the AGM, announced that the Bumi Barito Mineral (BBM) project would enter into commercial production stage in 2021. The Company has acquired all the necessary permits and approvals for the same.

In the backdrop of the excellent news for commercial production, lets us meet with the team which made in possible within the project timeline.

Mr Jim Coleman has a vast experience of more than 20 years in Corporate Management. He held important portfolios in companies of good repute like Rio Tinto, BHP Group, Riversdale Mining, Griffin Group, Utah Development Company and The Electricity Trust of South Australia.

Mr Coleman brings in expertise in open cut and underground mining to Cokal. His specialise skills in the field of mine management, project development and operation with a variety of processes and equipment are proving very valuable for the Company.

He has experience of working in different geographies- Australia, India, Mozambique, Thailand, The Philippines and other Southeast Asia.

Mr Coleman also owns and manage a successful mining consultancy along with Cokal.

Mr Domenic Martino has an immaculate experience in capital raisings in a wide range of markets. He had served as a CEO of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Australia.Mr Martino has contributed to the growth and development many ASX listed companies including Sydney Gas, Pan Asia, Nu Energy Capital, Clean Global Energy.

Mr Martino is a Chartered Accountant and has a strong reputation with Chinese businesses. He has long experience working in Indonesia and proving a key asset while closing deals with key domestic players.

Mr Karan Bangur has more than 10 years of experience in mine operations and related logistics. He has spent the majority of his professional career working on a wide number of projects in Indonesia and developed an expertise on laws and regulations of the Indonesian Mining industry.

He holds the position of Managing Director of Aahana Global Resources & Investment Pte Ltd (AGRI). Apart from coal, Mr Bangur had also worked for Iron-ore, Bauxite and Graphite projects in Indonesia.

Mr Bangur holds the position of Director in Aahana Global Resources SdnBhd, a majority shareholder of the Cokal since 2019.

Mr David Delbridge is a stalwart in themining industry with more than 30 years of experience. MrDelbridge has expertise in open cut coal mining operations in Indonesia, and through his innovative methods, he brings improvement in project execution and cost reduction.

In academics, MrDelbridge has a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from the University of New South Wales. His knowledge and experience have given him recognition as a competent person under the KCMI code along with JORC reserve statements for open cut coal mines.

Apart from these, he is a member of PERHAPI and peak body for resource professionals-AusIMM.

Mr Eddie Chin Wai Fong is in Board of Commissioners of PT Bayan Resources Tbk since January 2018. He is founding member Bayan Resources and has also served as President Director of the Company from March 2008 to January 2018. Bayan Resources is a successful thermal coal company. Its one of the largest coal companies in Indonesia listed on the Indonesian stock exchange.

Mr Eddie Chin is the largest shareholder of Aahana Global Resources SdnBhd, a 20% shareholder in Cokal Limited. Mr Eddie Chin is putting his vast experience in remote area coal mines advancement for the development of BBM project and also assisting in securing financing for the project.

In academics, Mr Eddie Chin holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow.

MrMasruri Yahya is a highly experienced and stalwart in mining operations. In his career span of 31 years, he has been associated with many reputed mining companies and has contributed towards their growth.

He has served in top-level management as well as spent a considerable amount of time gaining expertise in all aspects of mining including Operations, Mine Engineering, Safety, Health and Environment (SHE).

In his distinguished career, he has served in different roles including COO for PT Dharma HenwaTbk, Director at PT Saka Technology, PT BHP Coal Indonesia. Prior to Cokal, Mr Yahya was serving as Operational & Technical Director at PT Sriwijaya Bara Priharum.  

MrLukiWillianto holds the position of Geology Manager at Cokal Ltd. He has an extensive experience of more than 15 years with the Indonesian Coal Mining Industry with expertise in Geology and Mining.

Prior to Cokal, MrWillianto was working for PT Thiess Contractors in Indonesia and had experience on supervising coal exploration program. In his earlier role, he contributed to the mining studies related to geological modeling, estimation, assessment, evaluation, planning and making reports according to JORC compliances.

In academics, MrWillianto has done his majors in Geological Engineering from the UPN “Veteran” University of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He is member of prestigious Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (MAusIMM) and recognised as Indonesian Competent Person of “Ikatan Ahli Geologi” (CPI-IAGI).

Muhamad Arie Cahyono has a vast experience of more than 15 years in the Indonesian Mining Industry. He has a wide variety of experience in coal geological modelling and mine planning. In his career span of more than 15 years, MrCahyono has worked at different levels of mining operation and gained expertise in using mining and geological modelling software.

Prior to Cokal, MrCahyono has served PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia, PT Britmindo and PT Bayan Resources Tbk. MrCahyono evaluates resources and reserves for Cokal.

Mr Tee Kok Hui is managing survey teams at Cokal and looks after the survey data for roads, port and mine designing. His long experience of more than 41 years in the construction industry is coming handy in the role and contributing towards project development.

Prior to Cokal Ltd, Mr Tee Kok Hui was serving for Island and Partners Sdn Bhd.

The strong and vastly experienced management team of Cokal is sailing the Company on a high-growth path and creating value to the shareholder’s investment. The Company is moving on a fast track with the development of the BBM Project and has awarded the mining contract for the same.

Cokal reported a cash reserve of US$110k at the end of September quarter. The shares of the Company are trading at A$0.073 (AEDT:03:54 pm) with a market cap of A$67.40 as on 10 December 2020.
