Artemis Resources (ASX:ARV) has commenced an exciting new phase in its exploration journey with a major diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign focused on high-priority targets at its 100%-owned Carlow tenement in the North Pilbara region of Western Australia. This initiative aims to unlock more gold potential within a region already showing promise, with the current inferred gold resource at Carlow sitting at an impressive 374,000 ounces.
The drilling program, which is being carried out 24 hours a day, will focus on testing three high-potential targets in a 4-kilometre zone centered around the Carlow mineral resource. Artemis Resources has extensive landholdings in the North Pilbara gold province, and despite being in close proximity to the Carlow resource, these targets have never been drilled before.
Managing Director Julian Hanna expressed enthusiasm about the new drilling program, highlighting its focus on expanding the known Carlow resource. “We are thrilled to announce the start of this drilling campaign, which aims to explore several promising targets in the vicinity of the Carlow resource. We believe these areas have the potential to unlock significant value for our shareholders,” Hanna said.
The diamond drilling will primarily target the large Marillion electromagnetic (EM) conductor located 500 meters east of the Carlow resource. This conductor is seen as a key source of potential mineralization, and the drilling will investigate its possible gold and copper content. Additionally, the diamond drilling will test for potential extensions of the Carlow resource down plunge, following the promising results from previous high-grade gold and copper intersections.
Alongside the diamond drilling, Artemis Resources will carry out RC drilling at the Titan Prospect, 2 kilometers northwest of Carlow. This area, known for its structural complexity, has seen surface gold occurrences, particularly in quartz veins and chert outcrops. The RC drilling will serve as an initial test to explore these surface gold anomalies and determine their deeper potential.
The excitement around this drilling campaign lies in the opportunities it could create, not only to extend the Carlow resource but also to uncover new gold mineralization across Artemis' broader North Pilbara holdings. The results from these drilling activities will be eagerly anticipated as they could potentially unlock a new chapter in the company's gold exploration success.
