Highlights

  • Aldoro Resources (ARN) confirms significant niobium potential at its Namibia project.
  • Sampling results show promising grades and extended mineralisation zones.
  • Diamond drilling program commences to explore deeper resource potential.

Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) has bolstered the potential of its Kameelburg project in Namibia by uncovering further evidence of niobium mineralisation. Recent assay results from pre-drill sampling have unveiled a line extending 190 meters, with samples yielding an average grade of 0.70% niobium pentoxide. Additional assays indicate that the entire 262 meters of the line holds an average grade of 0.52% niobium pentoxide, confirming significant mineralisation.

Expanding Sampling Campaign

The company has successfully completed seven sampling lines as part of a pre-drill trenching program designed to identify optimal drilling locations. To gain a deeper understanding of the mineralisation, Aldoro has expanded the program to 22 sampling lines. This extended effort aims to evaluate geochemical anomalies and provide critical insights for the diamond drilling (DD) campaign.

Aldoro has also employed magnetic surveys to mitigate the risk of selective sampling and enhance the reliability of geotechnical data. This approach ensures the accurate identification of prospective drilling targets, laying the groundwork for a focused exploration strategy.

Advancing Diamond Drilling Program

Aldoro’s diamond drilling program is now underway, targeting the depth potential of the carbonatite. The campaign seeks to assess the grade and mineralisation at deeper levels while setting the stage for subsequent resource drilling phases.

The current program will drill seven diamond holes, ranging from depths of 200 meters to 400 meters. Aldoro is leveraging in-house rigs and drilling expertise to streamline costs and improve operational efficiency. The data collected from this program will form the foundation for detailed resource modeling and exploration planning.

Strategic Importance of Niobium

Niobium is considered a critical mineral, classified as a strategic element by major global economies such as the United States, Japan, and the European Union. Its applications span diverse industries, including oil and gas pipelines, structural beams, jet engines, and medical equipment. The equivalence of niobium ore at 0.15% niobium pentoxide to one gram of gold per tonne underscores its significant value.

The latest progress at the Kameelburg project positions Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) as a key player in the global niobium sector, driving forward exploration efforts with promising results and strategic focus.
